Took the spring out of his step -- Canelo has looked leaden footed from that fight on. Thinking on it, he has looked a bit like that for a while at SMW. Thinking back to BJS, he kind of plodded forward, confident that he would destroy Saunders when he landed. That approach was a disaster against Bivol.

As the article says, still has a totally solid chin and Charlo isn't likely to do anything there, but if Charlo can stay light on his feet and gain some measure of respect from Canelo for his power, then he might have a chance.

Still favour Canelo, but I'm not expecting any great turnaround in form as Canelo is suggesting.

Canelo has looked poor every since he went up in weight too much. He's a hard puncher but they don't have the same effect on the bigger guys. He really relies on his power to win fights

i dont see Ruiz as a good comparision here......... Ruiz was in the shadows of boxing a replacement for a drug abuser a dark horse A guy who everyone expected to loose, well that part is very similar with Saul's opponents except for one or two of them anyhow. Saul always had the edge with his opponents that part of his career is legendary, most of his fights were picked very carefully. And that is fine but lets not forget that as soon as he stepped up in class he lost. Ruiz stepped up and exposed a phony. Just some differences that is how i see it. Now this fight will sell but not bc it is as much of a challenge as it is This fan base vs that fan base. It is not the event that it is played out to be but most of his fights have been like that. Enjoy ;the fight(s)

            Agree!
In the same time span since Ruiz lost the belts against AJ he has fought 2 times.
Canelo is going on to his 8th fight

Continue fighting only smaller guys and shot fighters until you retire. Stay the **** away from. Bivol Beterbiev and Benny. You'll lose to all three. Not that you haven't already lost multiple times and been gifted.

I'm picking the guy with the letters C A L O in his last name! And the one whose last name ends with LO at the end.

Dunno, I mean NSB says that Canelo hasn't fought any top guys.

He has looked flat when fighting a fast technical boxer, he looked like crap ehen he fought Mayweather and Lara, even the Trout figh, and it was a fixed fight with the open score, and he was in his twenties. What other boxers similar to those he has fought after?
