    lmao
wilder and ortiz were both with the pbc for years and years and never fought when that was an easy fight to make. waiting for ortiz to get old isnt so much his actual age but his ring age. zhang just recently rose to prominence and is in the "prime" of his boxing career, not in his athletic prime but he cant get that back. ortiz wasted away for years fighting bums before wilder finally fought him. ortiz was still good but he had a chance to get an even better version of ortiz on his resume and wilder kept fighting bums. no one had a chance to fight a better version of zhang.

well he has a better resume than ortiz. you can say anyone is better based on eye test if you want to hype them. ortiz had one notable win 3 and a half years before fighting wilder and absolutely nothing else. zhang has 2 notable wins against a top 5 guy and another even fight against a top 10 guy but the decision didnt go his way. thats 3 credible fights that show his level to ortiz's one.

and when he does, everyone, including the thread starter, will say that Zhang was a bum.

That's a unique feat in the long, illustrious history of "the richest prize in sport" and deserves respect from everybody.
Klitschko, Whyte, Ortiz are three more top tier contenders who snuck into the circle. Joshua was invited, but kept stumbling against guys on the same level of the aforementioned three. His limitations prevented his participation in what we had hoped would be a thorough round-robin of the one-time "Three Kings". Hardly something that we can blame on the two kings who DID step up and covered themselves in glory.

I must have missed the Klitschko - Wilder fight. How did it end?

so joshua isnt a contender even though he beat 2 of the contenders you just listed? oh and ortiz and wilder both ducked him so not sure what else he had to do? fight and lose to an out of shape rusty fury like wilder did? then he would have been a king for sure

"The circle" consisted of Fury and Wilder and should have included A.J., but for all those losses, he couldn'tcome out and play with the other champs. Oh, to be clear, it ended with Fury taking all the belts off of Wladdy via UD. Fury never lost em'. Anything else, let me know.

Joshua was MORE than a contender...He was a world title claimant just like Wilder and Fury. But he started losing on his way to the Champions Ball. You know all this.

The duck stuff? You'd literally had to have participated in all those negotiations to know that, and take it beyond nonsense.

why is wilder arbitrarily included in your imaginary circle though? joshua didnt lose for 3 years after becoming champ and wilder didnt fight anyone during that period. fury wasnt even active either or taken seriously until he beat wilder who admitted he cherry picked fury. you seem to be making up things after the fact. there was no point where wilder and fury were on dueling tracks the way joshua and wilder were. fury came into the picture and derailed the tracks the same way ruiz did but wilder was never the guy based on a sh-it resume and hesitancy to fight the top guys like wlad and joshua.
