If Canelo thinks he's being underestimated now, imagine how the sentiment will be if he struggles with or even loses to Charlo.

Canelo seriously believes everyone is as stupid as the Mexican fans are. You do not look for the best fights you liar. Nor are you being underestimated as you're clearly a big favourite to win against an inactive smaller fighter. But you do like to try and convince us otherwise which only underlines how pathetic you are. Your fans do likewise with this nonsense too. Charlo is supposedly Bigger. What????

And THIS is the very reason why I just refuse to put Canelo Alvarez in the same sentence, let alone paragraph with legitimate legendary fighters like Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler, Manny Pacquiao, Ray Robinson, Julio Caesar Chávez Senior...... he is a MANUFACTURED pay per view star who built his brand off of a large Mexican base who will suck up any Insulting explanation he vomits out.
His career, and this is well documented, was based off of timing. The timing of when his opponents were washed up, near the end, returning from long stretches of inactivity, b- level light hitting, poor resumes, paper champions like Saunders, Plant,Callum Smith, ancient fighters coming off losing streaks and ko losses ( Kovalev) and other no hopes who once had a name. Canelo truly believes everyone is as inherently stupid, ignorant or BOTH as are his rabid fan base when he spouts this nonsense. Charlo is coming 2 weight classes off of a year and a half of inactivity. Notice a trend here? Why is no 0ne questioning the avoidance of his mandatory Benavides a young, surging, in his PRIME, legitimate SHOCK power punching fighter?? Why not rematch Bivol at 168? After awhile this BS gets extremely nauseating to listen to.
I'm normally neutral because I'm a supporter of the SPORT 1st. But in this particular case I sincerely hope Charlo upsets the odds and puts on a performance that leaves no doubt as to his victory. Not just a decision but a tko or flat ko. People want to see the best fight the BEST, no excuses or years of avoidance.
Canelo has benefited tremendously from that Blue print.

Alvared can't come near Chavez sr, Sanchez, Olivares, Saldivar, Morales, Lopez, Barrera and Marquez. The euro cherry picker won't be missed

I don`t know what is he talking about, all normal fans are expecting him to beat Charlo easily, why should we pretend like a 154 guy is somehow a great challenge for him?

Yeah boxing can't survive without Canelo. In fact when he was born that's when boxing started being talked about.

Canelo Alvarez doesn't belong in the same zipcode as legendary Mexican fighters/ Champions as "Rockin " Ruben Olivares, The legendary Salvador Sanchez( my personal all-time fighter tied with Duran and Hagler), Don Julio Caesar Chávez Senior, Roberto Duran ( he's part Mexican), Ricardo Lopez, Erik Morales, Oscar Delahoya,Barrera, the "Mexican matrix" Orlando Ganizales and Juan Marquez. All of these men fought LEGITIMATE DANGEROUS top flight fighters in their PRIMES. No waiting out dangerous fighters until they fell on bad circumstances limiting their career, aging out or flat-out avoiding dangerous rivals using the excuse that they won't fight fellow Mexicans....that kind of stupidity. None of them needed blatantly corrupt judges to sway a fight they obviously lost Badly in their favor in their PRIMES. No avoidance of certain styles or certain fighters. The men I mentioned above had true TESTICULAR FORTITUDE. In other words COJONES. You would have never heard any of them say they will drop their title belt rather than face their mandatory. When Gennady Golovkin was much closer to his prime ( the version that destroyed David Lemeiux) had become Canelos mandatory, Canelo stated that the WBC doesn't tell him what to do. Yes, this is well documented. He relinquished his title belt. He is the ONLY Mexican champion to have done so in the history of the sport. Just based off of that alone I feel it is insulting to the Champions I mentioned and to the tradition they represent, for anyone to put Alvarez, an obviously manufactured Star in the conversation with them.
This is not hate but TRUTH.
