Any style that you give Canelo that is similar to a Bivol, he’s gonna have trouble with. Anyone that stays on their toes, anyone that flicks a jab in front of his face, anyone that knows how to keep the distance, like Bivol did, Canelo will have trouble.

That’s the bottom line. Again, he walks on quicksand. That’s what his style is. It worked for him all these years. He has become accustomed to knocking his opponents out, walking them down, with a lot of power. Anyone that tries to box him, and have that same, similar style as Bivol, he’s gonna have trouble with.

He can take advantage of it (Alvarez), Charlo, if he knows how to use his distance. The distance you get with his feet, the distance you obviously use with your jab, you keep your distance. But if you know how to combine the footwork with your jab or your right hand or your combinations then it’s a perfect combination to win the fight against Canelo.

De La Coke forgot to mentioned that Bivol is almost 6’1”has a heavyweight advantage and can’t punch, otherwise Canelo would had been ko! Charlo like the toe to toe action, and everything would be throw out the window once Canelo engages, Charlo will too. It’s going to be a toe to toe but a running marathon like other people like and called it boxing! Defensive need offense too!

Two completely different styles lol

For one, Bivol stays technical the entire fight, and Charlo overextends when he throws a 1-2, which makes him square up sometimes

Bivol also mastered the art of punching the opponent when the opponent is resetting their offense. Charlo isn't fluid like that

De la Hoya just outlined in his line of thinking, why he kept Canelo from Benavidez, Charlo, and Andrade for so many years, which was obvious anyway. And he may be right, but Charlo is definitely not like Bivol. if Charlo slows down, Canelo will punch him in the mouth just like he did to Plant
