Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade Encourages Spence: "You Can't Get Mad At Yourself For Losing Against The Very Best"

For seemingly forever, fans were interested in seeing how a matchup between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford would play out. Would Spence's size and perpetual engine simply overwhelm the pound-for-pound star? Or could Crawford's skills be counted upon to get the job done?

It’s possible Crawford beats Spence, even on Spence’s best day. But Spence never would have been beaten like that if something wasn’t seriously wrong.

Andrade talking or even trying to give advice to any boxer is absurd. This man (I was once a fan) is the exact reason boxing got boring. Wasted career fighting nobodies.
Andrade had the chance to fight some talent and ducked and dropped a belt. Now he is roommates in the “sunken place” with Gary Russell Jr(I was a fan too).
I seriously doubt he fights Bena, I don’t care what he says. I will believe it when he’s doing his ring walk.

True. And Spence did both. Lol

It is what it is. You win some you lose some. He manned up and fought him and these are the results. He was still a Unified world champ and rated as the best WW on the planet at one point and I’m sure he will go to the HoF.

Maybe he gets another big payday in the rematch and win or lose goes out and hunts for an easy title against a faded or vulnerable champ around his weight to put some icing on the cake of a nice career.

Boxing is unpredictable. There are no excuses either.

Coming from someone in Andrade who has never fought against the very best, or even the best, or even the above average tbh.

Crawford would have beaten the entire PBC roster at 147 at any time. There was a reason they were playing on "the other side of the street."

"You cant get mad at yourself for not fighting the very best"

its actually easy to fight the 'very best' if u are getting a 10 mil guarantee of course

fighting 'hard fights' for lesser money, well thats different & not all do that by any means

Shoulda, coulda, woulda. He didn't. He chose to re-up with Arum and fight fringe guys for big guarantees.
