Comments Thread For: Hearn on Joshua-Wilder: My Instruction is To Explore Alternatives Venues

The prospect of Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua meeting before the end of the year seems to be becoming more and more remote. A fight which was apparently set in stone just a few weeks ago looks to be drifting further away by the day.

I feel like both are gonna want BIG money so if its not in Saudi its not gonna happen. And AJ ain't really known in the US like that so idk if it makes sense to fly over here now.

Hearn loves to negotiate via the media. He has taken a page out Arum's book.

Saudis have decided they don't need it now they have Usyk signed up or at least for the wonga being talked about. There's no bigger fight out there for either of them so they might as well get it on. Still make them loads at Wembley or in Vegas

I think there is goodwill and desire for a fight with these two, it's just not likely for Saudi Arabia.

They're not the two best heavyweights, but it's one of the more appealing matchups .

They should do it before retirement, because I don't think Joshua will fight on much longer. Just a guess.

I think the Saudis have been gradually getting cold feet since they saw Joshua’s performance against Jermaine Franklin - Joshua blew it with how tentative and gun-shy he looked. I don’t think they want to pay big money for Joshua to attempt another ““jab and run” heist like the one he pulled in the rematch with Andy Ruiz.

And Wilder hasn’t helped matters by doing nothing for the past year besides train -without actually fighting - and make childish, arrogant reply videos to Ruiz.

Hearn, Joshua and Wilder have all been playing it safe while waiting around for this promised pot of Saudi gold - and they have gotten exactly what they deserved by having it snatched away from them.

Both will want career high pay days - if it happens i'll be amazed. Sick of the HW division. Greedy b@stards at the top of the tree.
