  • Comments Thread For: Jermell Charlo: I Think I Can Knock [Canelo] Out; I Got The Power To Knock Him Out

By Keith Idec - Canelo Alvarez took Sergey Kovalev's hardest shots in a light heavyweight title fight, Gennadiy Golovkin's most punishing punches in their three battles at 160 and 168 pounds and countless connections from other taller, strong opponents without budging during his celebrated career.

I hope Jermell knocks clenelo out. I am so sick of watching clenelo fight British bums and past their prime world champions.

Going to the body is going to be key and punching in between his combinations. As long as Charlo is defensively responsible and work his body. Alvarez needs to pace himself because his stamina is not better than Jermell Charlo's. Look for openings

Unless Charlo lands a perfect liver shot he can´t even make Canela blink.

Jermell is getting knocked out. He might last until the 7th round, if his heart allows.

While he fought valiantly in his last fight, he had all he could handle against an unpolished Castano. Charlo has too many flaws in his game. Canelo will exploit them.

Charlo's legs are too small for 168, he has a weak/lazy jab (he won't be able to keep Canelo off of him), and his defense is poor; he gets hit too much (I don't think he'll be able to withstand too many of Canelo's clean connecting power shots). He's also been out of the ring too long. It's almost a given that he'll have problems carrying more weight after a lengthy layoff.

Canelo will most likely attack with knock out swings like he did against Amir Khan and James Kirkland.

Charlo is going to have to hope that his power carries to 168. Otherwise, he has no chance.

Don’t let this happen. Lmaooo. Imagine blatantly ducking a threat in your division to pick someone 2 weight classes below you because you don’t want to risk an L and then getting knocked out? That would be the perfect karma for Canelo and his legions of ass clown fan boys.

The build up for this fight is getting increasingly interesting. That being said , I think canelo is looking to make a statement and he’s going to get it. Too much experience and too much power. He’s going to see charlo’s punches coming and he’s going to crack him with hard ones back and not let him get anything going.

It all depends on how Canelo comes into this fight. If he is sharp, Charlo is in trouble. After watching Charlo-Harrison 2, I think Crawford might beat Charlo--much better boxer with tricky counterpunches. Both are vicious finishers. Crawford-Charlo should have been first, but oh well.

It's the punches you don't see. So Nell can be knocked out. But he sees most punches his peripheral vision probably good
