Sometimes, it's fun being Shakur Stevenson. He's already made generational money in a short amount of time, he's a two-division champ and has the sort of skills that you simply can't teach.

I would not base on Martin's last performance if I was Shakur. They have to focus in what he does right and nullify that.

I wouldn't either, Frank is a good boxer but he's not on Shakur's level. I'd be very surprised, even if Martin is at his best against Shakur, if he wins more than 3 rounds. Shakur has such good reflexes, timing and impeccable defence that Martin would really have to have his tactics perfect to have a chance.
That's my honest opinion, I'm sure there are those who will disagree.

I highly favor Shakur in this fight. His ability level have gone up considerably. The only thing he is missing is real punching power.

Great fight! Hopefully Stevenson can have enough pop on his punches to keep Martin from getting too comfortable. I also think that Shakur can be mobile enough that his defense will lead into a lot of his offensive tactics

Am I the only one who saw holes in Shakur's game vs Conceicao? Nothing incredibly problematic, but enough for me to give Martin a good chance to win.

His problem is fighting in the inside, if he faces a boxer with a high level of activity in the inside he will struggle. That's why he extends his jab to keep is distance. If he faces boxer with a longer reach that throws high amount of punches and is akward he will have difficulty as he won't dictate the distance.

In Boxing, you're only as good as your last performance...

For most. Style makes fights too or the wrong tactic.

He was bored. For Martin, he will be very engaged and locked-in, just like he was for Valdez.
