  • Comments Thread For: Crawford Reacts To Canelo's Criticism About Lackluster Resume: 'Y'all so Delusional It's Crazy'

Terence Crawford could only laugh in disbelief when he got wind of the latest barb from Canelo Alvarez. The undisputed 147-pound champion from Omaha, Nebraska, has been soaking in the adulation after his career-defining beatdown of Errol Spence Jr. last month to unify all four titles in the welterweight division.

From TCs perspective one can see how he thinks he beat elite comp, its when you compare his resume to others from the last era that you see how empty it is.

Canelo wants everyone to rave about his undisputed status but nobody that he beat to become undisputed at 168 had any elite wins. He wants people to rave about him fighting another undisputed champion two weight classes below him, but charlo hasn’t had any elite wins either. Canelo is hanging onto a shady/controversial win over a 36 yr old ggg , a competitive 12 round win over a 35 yr old smaller Cotto, a decision over 40 yr old Mosley and a late stoppage over a 36 yr old Kovalev that was 3-3 with 2 ko losses in his last 6 on 10 weeks rest. That’s all that really separates his resume, the name value of the old men he fought while he was in his 20’s. Otherwise his resume isn’t much better than Crawford’s so his criticism is lame and wreaks of insecurity.

Thats all another conversation, what he said about TC is true, and TC may beat his ass down the road doesn't make what Canelo said not true, it is a weak resume because the quality is just not there like in other eras.

Spence was just as good as Golovkin and Bud didn't have to fight him three times to barely separate himself. Avanasyan..just as good as Ryder. Porter... Just as good as plant/Jacobs. Mean machine..more dangerous and game than Saunders was in comparison. Benavidez and Horn >>> Yildirim and Fielding. Bivol, Lara, Floyd...the three fighters that give Saul's resume an edge...all beat Canelo. If Thurman, Pacquiao, and Garcia hadn't avoided Crawford like the plague...we wouldn't even be having this conversation...And who cares anyway, when all four fighters that Beat Canelo all stated in different interviews this year..that Crawford was p4p #1. Not alvarez. Canelos resume spoke lol.

I mean canelo has fought 6 future HOFamers while bud has fought maybe 1 in spence. That’s if u consider Spence a future HOFamer which is debateable at the point. Not sure why bud thinks differently he can’t really think Ricky burns indongo Porter and Brook are bigger wins or fights than cotto Mosley kovalev Lara bivol GGG mayweather the resumes aren’t even comparable. He’s the delusional one if he can’t see that

Remove the emotions, the Canelo hate and focus on the reality, Crawford's resume is really nothing to write home about. Sure he passes the eye test but like Canelo said who of note is on his record besides Spence? It maybe no fault of his that he didn't get the big names but the facts are truly what they are.

Ok, but the point is he’s a hypocrite. He’s saying it to demean Crawford’s resume but wants praise for beating guys with much worse resumes than Crawford’s.

What was the question he was asked that probably reveals his reasons I didn't see the interview this would have come out of, but it doesn't change the fact that what he said is true, the storyline of that article is more what the writer is pushing, I find it funny when fans get upset because of a quoted out of context comment when there is generally a lot more to it.

The more I hear about this ****** fight, the more I hope Charlo beats the Ginger. Fckn crazy hes fighting a SWW much less a WW and no talk of Benavidez whatsoever.
