  • Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol's Manager Admits It's Been Very Difficult Finding an Opponent

Vadim Kornilov, manager for WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, is still trying to lock down an opponent for his boxer's next fight. The search has been difficult, with Bivol being inactive since November 2022, when he dominated mandatory challenger Gilberto Ramirez over twelve rounds to secure a wide unanimous decision.

The manager didn't even mention Beterbeiv, the unified champion. That should be the Only fight they're trying to negotiate. Bivol can file a motion with the wbc to sanction the fight. I'm sure ol' Mauricio will take that sanctioning fee faster than he can eat a cheeseburger.

they are punishing him for being russian and because he didn't bend over for a rematch with canelo. fight badou jack in dubai. if it's not canelo, beterbiev, azeez, buatsi or callum (and they certainly won't fight bivol this year or early next year), people would trash his next fight at 175 anyway.

You had an opponent, his name was Canelo. He wanted to fight you at your full weight, you were adamant and insisted that you wanted 168 and walked away. Don't be complaining that it's "Hard" to find an opponent..... I will grant you the fact that for whatever reason Beterbiev doesn't want to fight you, Bob is a big contributor to that.

It's wbc and tr both having a problem with it. That aside this same manager all ready set this year fight negotiations didn't get anywhere cause of the money. There isn't enough money in the fight for thr 2 teams to work together

Their main concern is "the general will' of their own team...whatever that means.

It wasn't even the weight. Bivol can't fight for undispufed at 168 like claimed anyway and hes never made 168. They would of been ok to fight at 175 its a bigger split in money is what they wanted
