Francis Ngannou says his confidence only grew after his lone public encounter with Tyson Fury. Ngannou, the decorated former UFC champion, is scheduled to make his boxing debut on Oct. 28 in Saudi Arabia against no less a fighter than Fury, the WBC heavyweight titlist who is considered by some to be the top talent in the

With respect to the big man, but I think he mostly saw a huge future deposit in his bank account.

He gets that even if he gets ko'd swiftly and doesn't last ten rounds or so like McGregor did with Floyd. I'm sure Fury could 'carry' Ngannou for a few rounds, as Floyd probably did with Conor.

Anytime it is a boxer fighting an MMA guy I go for the boxer because that is my sport. Like many other parts of the business, I think Mayweather hurt boxing by not going for destruction. Apparently this dude hits really hard and anything could happen in the ring. That coupled with the fact that a complete annihilation could really pump the brakes on all this dumb crossover stuff means that the absolute best thing that could happen is fury not carrying him even for one second

He would have more chance with a boxer such as Joshua but slick fighters like Fury and Usyk are not the best styles for a first contest .But they both break the bank with yet another one of these joke but seemingly popular events.

Sized him up is cool but it's under boxing rules Fury territory. It's common know how the competent MMA guy wins under MMA rules or a streetfight usually while a competent boxer wins under boxing rules . Ngannou if landed would ko anyone yet you have to land & speed nor traditional boxing is his thing so fury by UD

The man who wins the “street fight” is the man who gouges eyes, bites, uses weapons, attacks the groin, attacks the knees, attacks the larynx etc etc

He would never win. Even if somehow it happened. Tyson Fury would still be the heavyweight champion as wbc not on the line so the great circus continues

Some MMA dudes are powerful punchers but they are not in there with actual boxers. This guy is 36 years old and is in it purely for the payday. I can't blame him but taking on Fury in your first boxing match is a recipe for disaster. The only way that this charade goes long is if Fury carries him. Let's hope not.

Sure, Fury can definitely be beat, I just don't think Francis Ngannou is gonna be the one who does it.
