Comments Thread For: Hearn: If We Can't Make Berlanga-Munguia, What Are We In The Sport For?

A super middleweight fight between Jaime Munguia and Edgar Berlanga should be a cinch to make, according to promoter Eddie Hearn--"should" being the operative word. Although they share different promoters--Munguia is with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy, while Berlanga with Hearn's

Yes young Edward. How could canelo NOT fight the winner of bumlanga vs bumgia? The winner of such a highly skilled highly competitive bout should definitely jump bivol morrel Jr benevidez charlo hell even Caleb plant would school mungia or Berlanga lol. Canelo got a 3 fight deal with PBC anyways why he even mentioning him? Matchstick promotions is in trouble and hopefully they dissolve so we can continue to see the big fights being made

So make the fight and stop with the politics. These people are running boxing worse than our politicians run the country. Why not get organized and smart--make boxing an example for the creepy politicians.

Hearn keeps dangling Canelo in front of every 168lb fighter like a carrot lol. Dude forgot canelo signed a 3 fight deal with PBC.

How hard is it to make this fight?

I mean this isnt Hagler and Leonard or Floyd and Manny.

Tell these two fight each other or sit and dont get paid.

Is there even much demand for this fight?

I think Munguia is clearly better than Berlanga. Munguia is yes, overhyped, but actually a legit top ten guy. I think GBP makes this fight.

There is no other place to go for these two fighters to make decent money. The other options is for them to continue their reign of terror agains subpar fighters. Munguia was gusty in his last fight but showed his limitations. I don't expect Berlanga to improve.
