Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: 'I Took a Few Losses; [Now] I Can See What People Are Really About'

Anthony Joshua apparently doesn't hold the boxing public in the same high regard as he once did earlier in his career. The former heavyweight titlist from England is coming off a brutal one-punch knockout over late-notice replacement Robert Helenius in the seventh round last Saturday night at The O2 Arena in London. Joshua's original opponent, Dillian

I like Joshua's propensity to talk to the media. Most boxers can't get out a few sentences without sounding uneducated.

Yeah, but there is levels to life. If your job had people write and talk about you for better or worse, it will take a toll on your mental if you listen to every single word. Granted, I'm not entirely defending a dude that does have millions in the bank and whose career is basically working out to knock someone the "f" out in 36 minutes or less. It's like he only has to go to work 2 times per year and enjoy the rest of the time with the occasional stay in shape training until they go into a deep camp for an opponent.

It takes situations to toughen someone. Whether you're working OT for 6 months, or weathering the critics.

Although I have no idea how it feels to be celebrity and deal with the mental aspects of it. I sure as hell would take millions in the bank while I'm losing my mind over losing my mind barely staying afloat, lol.

Is boxing a easy profession now? The training and actual fighting? The dangers and consequences involved?

Anthony Joshua primarily is not a celebrity, he is a professional prize fighter etc.

AJ is so annoying. I hope he gets smashed and humbled by Wilder.

ELPacman got something a little fked up. You make it sound like being a prize fighter is some easy breezy, fight twice a year and just chill on an island type deal lol.

Joshua needs to settle down , he's lost twice back to back against a cruiserweight , be it a good one! struggled and didn't fore fill his KO promise against an ordinary Franklin and now seems happy to announce how he broke Helenis down , like Robert was some hard to solve problem ....Wilder must be rubbing his hands.

I never said it was. Though neither are a lot of blue collar jobs out there that you need to bust your a$$ off for. I'd rather train than die being ****** into a lathe.

I know Joshua isn't a celebrity per say, but he's might as well be one in the boxing world and they do write about you there.
