  • Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson Respectfully Calls Out Lomachenko: "Let's Make The Highest Skill Level Fight Happen"

At this stage, Shakur Stevenson is ostensibly moving on from a possible showdown against Devin Haney. For months now, the former Olympic silver medalist metaphorically poked Haney in the stomach and urged him to take him up on his fight offer. There was some hope that the two could get it on before the end of the year but with Haney likely moving up to 140 pounds to face Regis Prograis, Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs) is looking for other viable options.

Loma is the outgoing. Stevenson is up and coming. Thats how decisions go in this case.

Nonetheless, I'm not sure Loma has enough hunger anymore, or energy, or both, to win it.

I don't even think that Shakur is motivating enough for Loma to get hungry at this point. It's not like he's going for undisputed

Regardless, if and most likely when Loma loses against Shakur, he'll still be in The Ring's top 10 P4P.

Point taken. But what else does Loma have now? Failed to secure the win the two times it counted most. Nobody has to fight him for anything anymore. He himself is now the guy that nobody needs and is high risk and low return, unless its somebody like shakur coming up, who cant get a belt opp.
