  • Comments Thread For: Matias-Ergashev: August 15 Purse Bid Scheduled For IBF Title Fight

Subriel Matias is not only locked into his mandatory title defense but is now at the mercy of the highest bidder. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the IBF has scheduled a purse bid hearing for Matias' ordered junior welterweight title fight versus Shohjahon Ergashev. The negotiation period came and went without a deal reached and now available to all IBF-registered promoters who wish to participate in the August 15 purse bid from the sanctioning body's New Jersey headquarters.

Purse bid? This should have been picked up already. Where are the Saudis? They DKSAB. They buy Eddy droppings for millions, but not a peep for a sure execution. Who ever loses this won't be back.

I’ll have to see it to believe it King. This looks like a 50/50 fight to me and hopefully gets made at the meeting and happens sooner rather than later.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

These are the real 2 best in the division. I think its 50-50 but I give the edge to my man Ergashev

It's a 50/50 fight up until Matias start's breaking Ergashev down by the middle to late round's, and then it's clobbering time.
Ergashev won't be the first undefeated fighter from a Eastern European country to taste defeat at the hands of Subriel 'El Orullo de Maternillo' Matias!
There's a reason why Matias is ranked # 8, while Ergashev is ranked # 45, in BoxRec's ranking's, but I can't wait to see this fight myself.

Maybe DAZN will make a bid, seeing as how Salita has a working relationship with them and Matchroom wanted to work with Matias.
