plus he'd have the ring belt at ww and if you wanna count it..lol the wbc diamond belt
42-0, 9 time champ 5 divisions
-top 20 atg
if he retired then whats your opinon on him as a fighter??
if he wants GOAT status, he will have to fight the winner of cotto/pac and mosley/berto and then win a few more fights above WW.
even beating cotto and mosley don't make floyd the greatest WW ever.

Larryx one thing though, the Diamond belt is more like a trophy.
Its a one time thing, you dont have tod defend it, nor is a championship.
Its juts a trophy created for that specific fight.
Anyways, if Flloyd atleast fights 3 of this 4 his legacy on or lose those fighst cant be deniad!

But in the same token as Rocky Marciano retiring undefeated with even having a win over Joe Louis, he's not anywhere near Top 10 ATG. Those dudes back then fought everybody when it meant something, not 4-5 yrs down the road. Floyd would have over a 100 yrs of Boxing to compete with and accomplish what many were doing before his time, the only thing is many people on here don't know even a quarter of the fighters pre 1970s-1980s. Some people here don't even know who Willie Pep or Jack Johnson are, but ask why they're regarded so high in the ATG list. That shows the lack of knowledge of the long history of the sport (..and I'm not meaning you particularly).Last edited by RL_GMA; 10-02-2009, 01:40 PM.
