  • Comments Thread For: Inoue Keen On Undisputed Showdown Versus Tapales: 'Let's Do This, This Year'

Naoya Inoue didn't waste any time to target his next opponent. Marlon Tapales made a point to be ringside Tuesday in Tokyo where he had every intention of challenging the winner. Inoue emphatically claimed the WBC and WBO junior featherweight titles in a one-sided, eighth-round knockout of unbeaten titlist Stephen Fulton (now 21-1, 8KOs) to become a four-division titlist.

I love Inoue's attitude. Why wait around and just sit on his laurels as so many other fighters do? They'll win in January/February and you won't see against until like October/November. This dude just fought halfway through the year and wants to go right back to it before the end of the year. Balls. Something so many fighters in America are missing these days.

All the champions at 126 should start unifying before Inoue gets up there. I don't see why he would stay at 122 after the fight with Tapales

After todays boxing display by the monster its safe to say tapales will be easy work ,maybe even easier than scooter was and that says alot.

Crazy fact is that it would only take him 6 months to become undisputed for a 2nd time ,thats ATG type of sht, its going to be really hard to dethrone this dude , 126 pounds could be his ceiling given his height, but who knows, maybe he could get as far as 130 and still whoop mofos there. Absolute beast.

You do remember that Manny Pacquiao is the same height at 5'5"?
