Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson Uninterested In Kambosos Fight, Disappointed In His Latest Performance

Before Shakur Stevenson kicked in the front door at 135 pounds, the former Olympic silver medalist viewed George Kambosos Jr. as the sort of fighter he should eventually take on. Not anymore.

Kambo would be a waste of time, and a step backwards! Haney beat him twice, and Hughes out-boxed him, regardless of the judges' scorecards! Loma, Haney, or Tank! That's it, nothing less!

I agree that it's not worth it but, Shakur needs to fight. If it's Kambosos, end it quickly and fight again 30 to 60 days later. Beat the cr@p out of anyone and everyone until the promoters can't hide behind the A side or side of the street nonsense.

Good choice, it would go all painfully long 12 with Kambosas landing 20 punches in total, no thanks.

If was funny to watch Stevenson say it to Kambosos face and George couldn't summon his tough guy act.

But I agree, this is a waste of time if this fight happens.

When Haney moves up I figure Bob matches Kambosos with Loma for WBO. Shakur v Zapeda for WBC. Then have Shakur win IBF and match them.

Tank will just get elevated and fight Cruz again.

If that's the case why did Stevenson get into that nasty confrontation with Kambosos during the post fight interview?
Is Stevenson such an attention hound that he'll do anything just to get a few minutes in front of a camera, and microphone?
It was a bad decision on his part, to interrupt another fighters post fight interview with his negative remarks, after the fighter looked so poorly in the ring.
It seems as if he's had a change of heart, and realizes that the fans aren't going to want to see a fight between him, and Kambosos.
He's right in stating that Kambosos is not on his skill level as a fighter, interrupting Kambosos' post fight interview was unprofessional, and a mistake.
