Comments Thread For: Spence Waited Too Long Says Bomac, Had A Better Chance Against Crawford When He First Moved Up

Errol Spence Jr.'s career has been calculated. His move up the welterweight ranks happened fairly quickly but there was always legitimate thought behind it. Although he believed that he was ready for the bright lights far earlier, matchups against Chris Algieri and Leonard Bundu helped him mature.

" the results have been catastrophic "...lol . For who ? An old washed up in his final fight of his career, Shawn Porter ? . Who was already beaten soundly by Spence . Or are you talking about the severely damaged Kell Brook who was already beaten and sounded thrashed by Spence, Golovkin etc. Nobody is buying the b.s. Give it up Bomac.

Well...problem is, Crawford chose to renew with Top Rank multiple times for guaranteed checks instead of going where the quality opposition was fighting each other.

So...if BoMac thinks that Spence was more dangerous back then, maybe that's why Crawford chose to stay put and...how does NSB describe it..."age him out".

Guaranteed big checks and being a major priority for a massive sports network instead of fighting once a year, shut up!!!

True he is accustomed to the weight and has stopped every opponent since moving up. But haters are gonna make the excuse anyway that Crawford was too small if he loses to Spence.

I agree with Bomac, not only is Crawford well suited for welterweight now, but Spence has some mileage on him and making the weight is also very tough for Spence. Tougher now than what it probably was years ago.

I’d like to answer that question- you won’t have to wait until 7/30, they’ll start scattering far away around the 7th round on 7/29..

Bomac hasn't been watching Spence much..

Spence is literally at the peak of his physical prowess. He was a small welterweight when he joined the division- although he would balloon to 190 when he didn't fight. Now, he has outgrown the division, and will most likely move up after this fight

This will be an excellent fight.

Its crazy how ppl can't see that Bud is sturdy as hell, very strong, and a tremendous puncher. They see him as fragile with no chin. All he does is knock ppl out. He has more knockouts than Errol has pro fights. They think Errol will be this Frankenstein-like unstoppable force. Even the great Juggernaut Joe Joyce got his iron chin hurt by the right punch. Errol can be as aggressive as he wants, until the right shot finds his chin. And Bud is the man to find that opening, which will happen during this fight, that's a fact. What do ppl really think Bud will be doing while Errol is trying to seek and destroy? Bud will be placing his shots with pinpoint accuracy and surprising power. Who has Errol fought that is anything like Bud? He'll be shocked when he gets hit clean for the 1st time. If u don't believe me, ask Amir "Cuckold" Khan, who went down hard early, then quit against Bud from a thigh shot, a guy whose wife's walls got thrashed by AJ and now walks with a permanent gap and a limp
