  • Comments Thread For: Inoue On Fulton: 'It'll Be A Real Challenge, I'm Pushing Boundaries Of My Build, & Limits'

The fired-up Naoya Inoue knows that it won't be easy to become a four-division world champion. The former undisputed 118-pound king vacated all four of his belts and is moving up to 122 pounds in order to challenge unified super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton on July 29 in Japan.

Inoue will be the best opponent fulton has ever shared a ring with, I know he feels incredibly lucky to fight the monster, Fulton gets splattered in 10.

That is not an excuse at all. Inoue is just being realistic. He might be too small to beat the best fighters at 122 lbs. If not at 122 there is a limit somewhere. You surely can't be suggesting that he could fight with Tyson Fury and if he does he should not say that can't compete with the heavyweights. If everyone agrees that fighting at heavyweight is beyond Inoue's capacity, the question becomes where then does his weight limit. Maybe it is at 122. I don't see his comments as an excuse.

              Exactly

Fighters can only go up so far and be able to perform at their best and not be at a serious disadvantage.

Lomachenko in my opinion was too small at 135. even though he can still do a good job there, he's size is detrimental to him there, so he is not really performing at his very best. 140 would be way out of his limit.

I think Inoue can can beat them all at 122 personally but I think that's as high as he can go without being at a big disadvantage.
