Even Errol Spence Jr. would admit that he was once young, dumb, and made a few bad decisions. In September of 2019, Spence was practically on top of the boxing world. He successfully ended the title reigns of Kell Brook and Shawn Porter and pranced around as the welterweight division's lone unified champion.

I'm not buying his reasoning here. Wasn't he in the hospital for a few weeks? Didn't they pull him unconscious from the car?

thats a bit silly if he believes that one, with that attitude hes definitely losing his next fight

funny that after kell beat porter he got stabbed in his leg and ended up miserable in hospital, errol beats porter and he ends up even worse in hospital soon after, its all porters fault

William Faulkner once said that you’re trash when you’re proud of what you should be ashamed of, and ashamed of what you should be proud of.

Yeah reminds me of what people say to guys who punch wholes through walls. The walls don't punch back..
          Same logic applies here.

He fails to mention not feeling anything during the car wreck because he was really drunk.

He will feel Bud hitting him, that is for sure.

The attitude of Spence since the fight was announced has been one of constantly reassuring himself and his fanbase of why he won't lose, why his skills are better, why he is going to win, etc. Constant defense. Meanwhile, Bud is saying, this victory will be the cherry on top of my career, when I win, etc. Totally different mindsets. And that is honestly telling of their personalities. Bud goes for the kill and has no mercy. Spence spends alot of time thinking about how to not get hurt, he never tries to close the show unless he has his man totally defenseless.

Bud has already won the mental game. Spence will have to be 100% perfect fight night and try to get a UD, or Bud will find a way.

Spence wrecked himself driving drunk and that made him super man? Got my money on Bud.

Oh boy. The car wreck didn't kill you but it still destroyed your body. There's no way the car wreck didn't cause brain damage and reduced his punch resistance.
