  • Comments Thread For: Stevenson Hopes To Get Lomachenko if He Can't Secure Haney Title Clash

Former three division champion Vasily Lomachenko is still looking to get a measure of revenge against undisputed lightweight world champion Devin Haney. Lomachenko challenged Haney back in May and lost a close twelve round unanimous decision. The scores were 115-113, 116-112 and 115-113.

Issac Cruz, William Zepeda, and now Lomachenko! Plus Haney only offered him 25%! Just get the Tank fight, or see if Floyd Schofield will take the bait! That will sell very easily in the TriState!

Loma will fight him if he can’t make the Haney fight happen.

I suspect Haney will take the easier fight at super lightweight.

That would be a KICK BUTT fight. The problem is that you would need some really specific judges that can see super fast and nuanced shots and determine their relative efficacy. I watched a bit of the Loma-Haney fight in slow motion and then rewatched those parts in regular speed and I am certain that the judges missed a bunch of Loma's landing shots.
I love the fighters in this division and truly want to see them face each other!

Stevenson knows he'll smoke Loma like a Cuban cigar! He should take the Haney fight or go for the boogeyman Tank.

Loma just beat Haney's a$$ 8-4. No one can beat him easily.

I think Shakur wins as well but more like 7-5 type decision "with fair judges". Both can use angles effectively.

Loma didn’t beat anyone’s ass, he looked like garbage against Jamaine Ortiz. “No one can beat him easily” Shakur is on an entirely different level, will probably go down as the greatest since Floyd. Ortiz - Shakur might happen next. One sided domination

Loma won that fight. It is a shame that some careers get toasted (not talking specifically at this one) because of bad decisions.

Shukar is supposed to be the future of Top Rank. He should’ve forced a Haney fight instead of Loma getting a shot. Now Haney’s gone and he’ll have to fight whoever for a vacant title.
