  • Comments Thread For: Haney: We'll See May 20th If Jamaine Ortiz Just Did Well Or Loma Completely Lost A Step

LAS VEGAS - Devin Haney isn't sure if Vasiliy Lomachenko's last performance is a real reflection of the three-division champion's capabilities at this point in his celebrated career.

Dont't worry huggy bear. We all know that you will hold Loma close like a lover all night, complain to the ref when Loma hits you in the inside. You will throw a jab or a 1-2 and run. And if you win doing it, you will then talk about your tools and how you are the greatest fighter alive, and when people complain that you are boring, you will talk about how Loma is P4P, you did what you had to do, people just don't appreciate your incredible skillset.

I am assuming Haney is playing the heel to get people to buy the fight because he know people are so bored with him. He does look like a caricature drawing of Floyd, so that should help.

If the Loma that fought Nakatani and Commey shows up, Loma will win. If the Loma that fought Ortiz shows up, Haney has the edge.

I really don't see anything special about Devin Haney. Jab and hug.

What will Haney say if he loses? What will be his narrative?

that sounds sensible from haney, he does make sense with his reasoning, he wasnt that impressed with loma in his last outing but doesnt want to write him off based on that given his overall career, loma fans hoping he can raise his game, styles make fights etc, we shall soon

My money is on “I was drained, I need to move up”

He’s looked like a crackhead on the scale last few times...

We all know that Loma is over the hill and he is a small fighter for 135. Haney is just a welter draining himself down to 135 and then rehydrating up to 160+ on fight night. Ain't nothing to brag about defeating little-old Loma.

                Or "hand injury" lol

Haney is still young enough to shrink himself down to 135 with the right nutrition diet and then he is gonna bulk up easy to 160+ on fight night.

We all knew the minute Devin signed to Top Rank the main goal was to get the Loma fight the belts made it easier especially after Loma lost them to Teo. Devin secured the belts, first defense against the guy who wouldn't fight him when he had rhe belts, now here we are. Once Devin knocks off Loma he will move up. But little-old Loma has to see him. .....it was written

Strange chat to focus on about lomas former opponent pre fight. Haney should be concerned with how he will do against Loma not how jermaine did.
