  • Comments Thread For: Eubank: I Was Offered Substantial Money For Benn, But I Want To Get Smith Back For What He Did!

Middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr. was at one point considering the scenario of facing Conor Benn - with a very large offer on the table - but claims he couldn't bring himself to go forward with that fight.

Yes, you really do need to beat smith. It was uncomfortable viewing seeing you stricken like that chris.I mean you never been hurt you claimed in sparring or ever? So I had your chin as good as lamotta or your dads.
Liam Smith walking around feeling hes your superior.

What we saw was no different to when Chad Dawson went down from 175 to 168 in his mid 30's to fight Andre ward. Chris should be at 168 (as he was) that extra 8 pounds drain to 160 at his age caused that diminished punch resistance. I think he knew he was compromised look at his ringwalk in that fight I've never seen him look so unsure of himself. Smith isn't a big puncher just look at the leather eubank took from groves liam shouldn't have been able to dent him at all.

He should've taken the substantial money, smh/lol. He looked terrible trying to box like Roy Jones Jr. The results should be the same as the last time.

It's a calculated risk situation for Jr. He knows he won't be ale to fight in the UK if he took that fight and his family name only really means anything in the UK. He knows he probably gets hammered by Smith again but takes that money knowing the Benn fight will always sell to the causals. Not a lot to look forward to from Jr.

As thoroughly, and as conclusively, as Smith was able to beat you down, you don't stand a chance of getting any revenge.

Yes, being drained does weaken you doesnt it? BUt id still have thought Eubank could take a light punchers best shot. Its disturbing how thin a line it is of having a great chin to having a bad chin. I mean Eubank might be compared to Amir Khan now.
Eubank needs to win and by ko preferbly.

Regional thing just like Rolly's last fight. Romero in the main event?! Easy marketing and a night out for people in the UK region.
