Comments Thread For: Michel Rivera On Keyshawn Davis: "He's Not On This Level Right Now"

The confidence of Michel Rivera was through the roof following his victory over Jerry Perez. The reward for dragging his record to a perfect 24-0 seemed to be an appropriate one, a showdown against Frank Martin.

Without entirely doing his research, Rivera’s words weren’t entirely true. Currently, the former Olympic silver medalist is ranked fairly highly in each of the four sanctioning bodies. He holds a ranking of number 12 in the IBF, number 8 in the WBO, and number 10 in both the WBC and WBA. Rivera, ironically enough, is ranked behind Davis in those aforementioned sanctioning bodies.
Rivera wasn't talking about letter orgs and 'eye test' placement. He was talking about overall experience and pro rounds in the books against a variety of styles.

In that regard, Keyshawn is green, and tossing him to the wolves risks another Rashidi Ellis situation.

RIvera needs to begin his career at 140! How about Akhmedov or Juarez?

I totally agree with you regarding Keyshawn's experience. Rankings these days are more political than they are based on accomplishments in the ring IMO.

What who died, and left Rivera in charge of the decision making as to where other fighter's level's are. No one that's who!
He just got out boxed big time by Frank Martin in his last fight, and he came up positive for banned substance's to boot, for that fight.
So he should be the last fighter talking about, about what another fighter think's, say's or does.
Apparently he doesn't know how badly he looked in his last fight, or sound's when making statement's that aren't true.
He's ranked below the fighter who he's was disparaging, K. Davis is on a wicked roll right now, and I for one think that Davis can beat him.

Keyshawn Davis isn't going anywhere. He's getting better by the day and he will beat Rivera up right now. And I wanna see Michel get knocked out. he's nothing but a drug cheat, and probably eats mad pork and he calls himself the dominican Muhammad Ali. That's super disrespectful. As for Keyshawn, he's a lot better than his limited professional experience shows. Just put someone in front of him, name or not, and see what happens

They always have articles about fantasy fights. KDavis is with TR and Rivera is with PBC. Another fantasy fight again.

They have nothing about PBC on PBC -- realistic fights to make.

There's no news article about Frank Martin on Isaac Cruz, both are PBC fighters. This media has penchant for fantasy fights.

Hope fans are starting to notice now.

Blame Keyshawn - he was the one constantly chirping about it.
