Joshua Buatsi returned to the ring but failed to make a statement in his latest victory. A 50-week ring absence ended with a new promoter as Buatsi outpointed Poland's Pawel Stepien over ten rounds in his debut under the BOXXER promotional banner. On Saturday, May 6th at the Resorts World Arena, Birmingham when newly-announced BOXXER signing Joshua Buatsi (16-0, 13 KO’s) makes his promotional debut. (photos by Lawrence Lustig)

The former British light-heavyweight champion – who is ranked No.1 in the world by the WBA – faces Pawel Stepien (18-0-1, 12 KO’s) in the headline bout and looks to end his Polish rival’s undefeated record in emphatic fashion as he kicks off his conquest for a world title.

Ben Whittaker (2-0, 1 KO’s) will make his long-awaited return to the ring in home city of Birmingham. The enigmatic 2020 Olympic silver medallist will look to impress.

And Team GB golden girl Lauren Price MBE (3-0, 1 KO) – will return, fresh from her impressive victory away from home in Paris where she outclassed Naomi Mannes.

97-93 McGowan , 96-94x2 Denny wins a split decision. I missed the first 4 rounds and didn’t really pay attention till about the 7th.

Denny looked good last time I saw him against Rea

Grant down early in the third and the corner throws the towel in before the ref starts his count
