The last two great fighters, Mayweather and Pacquiao were always at a size disadvantage. Fans respected that (for the most part).

Usyk is smaller than the other top HW’s, but he’s a unified champion.

Canelo is fighting guys his size at 168.

Lomachenko moved up to 135 for bigger fights, where he is the smaller fighter on fight night.

So, why do some fighters rely on being 15-20lbs heavier than their opponent? And if they don’t have that advantage then they suck? And then if they move up they would also have issues fighting guys their own size?
And what does that say about those who are smaller? No hate here, just rethinking on usyk, Chris Byrd , Vinnie Paz, they all moved up by gaining mass, but we're all still undersized. Same goes for many others. I would say this adds to their greatness, being 5'8" fighting at light heavy weight or Bobby czyz moving up to heavyweight at that same approximate height.

Honestly, I don't know how Chris Byrd did it. Was it eating cheeseburgers? Lifting weights? Using steroids? I'd like to know as I revere the little big men in the game. All I know is that he didn't look fat, but looked dried out at light heavyweight. In laymons terms he was fighting about 30 to 40 pound heavier boxers= at face value: 3 to 4 weight classes above. I rate him high, a southpaw who would give Muhammad Ali problems mythologicaly!

Regardless of whether Mayweather weighed in at 144 pounds or 146 pounds. After his exodus from the sport, then coming back to weigh in below the 147 pound limit.

Marquez was fighting a more drained and not optimally trained Mayweather, and even still he was beaten easily.

Floyd Mayweather Junior won 95% of the rounds vs Marquez and hardly shifted out of second gear 'I rate it as one of Mayweather's best pure boxing performances'.

Because Marquez himself is a highly skilled and aware boxer 'He still appeared levels below Mayweather Junior'.

Note: Mayweather missed the 144 pound catch weight limit, but he still weighed in under the 147 pound limit 'Marquez was coming up in weight so really, he was the fighter who had more of a advantage in terms of being less drained and more optimally trained.

Floyd Mayweather Junior has never failed a drugs test, or attempted to avoid a drugs test. He was also one of the first fighters along with Mike Tyson, to demand Olympic styled drug testing in boxing during fight preparation etc.

Lmfao so fvkcing hilarious. You idiots praise Mayweather for missing weight yet if Ryan missed weight against against stank yall would be crying. Losers

So you are saying Mayweather was a Super Middleweight vs Marquez in 2009, but he was 150lbs vs Victor Ortiz (164lbs) in 2011?

So for one fight Mayweather rehydrated to nearly 168lbs, but then shrinks himself for 2011, changes his eating habits, and only rehydrates 3lbs?

You don’t understand just how dumb that sounds.

In order for Mayweather to have been 168lbs vs JMM on fight night, bur 150lbs in 2011 vs Ortiz, you understand that how dangerous that is? DLH tried that vs Pacquiao, weighing 147lbs on fight night and you saw what happened to him.

Notice very few people even bother to answer you, the troll label is attached and the majority will ignore your bs.
In HBO’s unofficial weights, Mayweather was 150lbs vs Ortiz’s 164lbs. But in 2009 he weighed 168lbs on fight night. LOL.

Reality is that Mayweather and JMM were similar in size, because Mayweather doesn’t rehydrate much.

There are Lightweights right now that are the size of Welterweight Mayweather. Mayweather is the size of Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah, Manny Pacquiao, JMM. His critics don’t want to admit that because they want to go with the false narrative that Mayweather was this Super Middleweight fighter and that’s how we won his fights

Somewhere, somehow, a fight between guys in different div has to be as fair as possible.
If a guy is shlt moving, then he shouldn't agree to the terms.
Bringing up any excuse is a bltch move.
Ryan had all of the advantages and he wasn't Shot DLH* 2.0.

I would like to see Tank pay it back, though.

Step in the ring weighing 15-20 pounds more than a professional boxer and find out your advantage.
Mosy boxers rehydrate 15 pounds. The crazy ones can rehydrate 20-25 pounds.
Which is only 5-10 pounds over your opponent. Is there an advatage? SURE but some men have longer arms, are taller. That’s an unfair advantage too.
