Ike Ibeabuchi would have been the heir to the throne after Lewis.

Ike was a power horse, and his boxing skills were good. he did box with Byrd before deciding to KO him, and he was ahead on the cards. Holyfield was actually about to be used as a sacrificial lamb, since Holy was very past it at the time.

Ike battles Tyson for the most overrated HW in history. I am a fan of both, but to say he would beat either Klitschko or Lewis is crazy. Fans of theirs see no size issues, they see no problem with the sketchy comp and they both claim that their fighter was ruined by bogus **** charges.

Before the **** Ike once claimed that satan was possessing a part of his brain and that his brain was like heaven and hell and the angels and demons were fighting and being punched in the head was the only thing that made them stop. The guy was insane. I dont know if he was trying to **** the woman or whatever, but what I do know is he was nuts and a danger to himself and others and needed to be put away.

You ever write to him in prison street?

I think he got denied parole again last year.

          He's an intellectual now.

Since his incarceration, Ibeabuchi has earned two college degrees from Western Nevada Community College: an Associate of General Studies; and an Associate of Applied Science in General Business. Ibeabuchi was denied parole in August 2004, in August 2007 and again in February of 2009.
He is not eligible for another hearing until May 1, 2012 as confirmed by a Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners staff member.
Despite the 10 years of inactivity boxing fans around the world are still optimistic for Ike's successful rehabilitation, release and return to the ring. Time is running out as Ibeabuchi will be 39 if he is released in 2012.

Fight was very close, could have gone either way.

I thought Tua won it 7-5 but I don't have no problems with Ibeabuchi winning altough one score was to wide I remember.

              The end.

tua beat rahman for the ibf eliminator less than a year later.

most don't even consider the ike fight a loss for tua.

ike ibeabuchi fought ONLY TWO guys that wasn't a tomato can.

a good win against byrd and a robbery.
I agree, except the Tua fight wasn't a robbery but should have been a close decision win for Tua.

The fascination with Ike is a kind of fantasy for some people. He really wasn't ALL THAT skilled or powerful.

he fought 2 notable opponents, how is that oging to gauge his performance. We don't know how he would've done against somebody who wasn't just a slugger/brawler. I say holyfield would've beaten both Tua and Ike, both weren't really that great to begin with.

Holy got KOed by Toney. Ike would have ran thorugh the worn down Holy. Ike was a beast man, no HW had his stamina or workrate.

He beats up inmates, and has attacked guards multiple times. This is why he keeps getting denied.
