Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis On Devin Haney: He Need To Focus On May 20th; We'll Holla At Him After

LAS VEGAS - Gervonta Davis didn't feel the need late Saturday night to discuss Devin Haney. When a reporter informed Davis after his seventh-round knockout of Ryan Garcia that Haney wants to fight him next, Davis advised the undefeated, fully unified lightweight champion to focus on the difficult assignment that already awaits

Gervonta, I have just one more question? What do you think about Floyd being ring side riding your nuts after he wouldn't let you and your team use his gym? I'm just saying......

"Whoever Davis fights next, the timetable for his return to the ring figures to be impacted at least somewhat by the sentence he receives May 5 in a Baltimore courtroom. Davis pleaded guilty February 16 to four counts related to his hit-and-run accident in November 2020 in Baltimore."

This is the key line right here

Tank will beat Haney most likely. Haney not much of a puncher but great boxer.

He already paid the attorney so the judge can get their share, this how it's done in America! Probation and restitution end of story.

            Exactly this!

This reminds me of when everyone just assumed Wilder’s arbitration case against Fury about a third fight was no big deal and would get thrown out - and that a Fury-AJ fight was a sure thing. How did that work out?
Everyone seems to be taking for granted that Davis won’t get jail time and if he does, it won’t be significant. I wouldn’t be so sure about either: he may get the book thrown at him. The judge has already rejected a plea deal that would have kept Davis from doing any jail time and I don’t think it will reflect well that :a) it took Davis months to even acknowledge and take responsibility for doing something wrong in the crash, and b) he still hasn’t really shown much remorse or humility with all his talk before and after the Garcia fight.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the “face of boxing” is staring through bars for the rest of this year. You probably won’t see Davis fighting until 2024.

I think Haney beats Tank he won't be as careless as Garcia defensively he was just swinging for the hills in the 2nd round Haney is a disciplined safety first fighter i don't see Tank landing a big enough shot to finish him.

shakar (crawford and ward training) > haney > cabbage patch

He isn't fighting either of these guys he would ask them to wear 16oz gloves and heels?

How do you put clauses on a GREEN fighter like Garcia and try to sell that as a legit win?

                Face of Boxing, LOL!

                  Shakur > Loma > Haney = Tank >> Cryan

Tank vs Haney is 50/50 fight. Sissy boxer vs solid puncher.

It all depends on the Judge, and this Judge seems to be one who won't be influenced by factors other than what are at hand. By this I mean he won't be bought in some shape or fashion. Davis will most likely get what he deserves.
