BoxingScene.com has learned that the Dominican southpaw has tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug, which is expected to cost Puello his WBA super lightweight title. Well yeah he is the mandatory for the WBA, but it feels pretty obvious what the outcome of a fight between Romero and Barroso will be.

Ismael clawed his way to the top by beating subpar fighters and is currently on the decline with a questionable chin. Easy pickings for a awkward big puncher like Romero.

Romero shouldn't be fighting for the title in the first place after coming off from a knockout loss to a lightweight. Why not pit him with other ranked contenders first?
