Comments Thread For: Joet Gonzalez Turns Away Jose Enrique Vivas, Takes Unanimous Decision Win

Joet Gonzalez has not managed more than one win in a row over his past six starts. The two-time title challenger is at least back on the right side of that streak. A furiously paced ten-round featherweight bout saw Gonzalez outland a busier Jose Enrique Vivas to win a wide

The scorecards we're way too wide. I had Gonzalez barely winning 6-4.

Timothy Bradley’s commentary detracted from this fight. Was a real good scrap. Dudes were ****ing, putting on a show. Ward tries to reel in Bradley’s comments, but Bradley’s continues to double down on the cringe.

          Good point.
He's done that in a few fights already.
I think Ward realizes it and tries to settle him down.
But big head Bradley keeps on yapping.

Bradley isnt the worst offender, he just tangents. But most have a narrative rehearsed before the fight and they stick with it and realize it in the commentary no matter whats actually happening or what your eyes are seeing. It's maddening. They throw up dubious punch stats and get some guy to tell me every third round that his card has the A-side dominating. (He's just busier Jim)(His background won't let him quit)
They all wanna tell me everything they know abut a fighter and here's what I'm seeing. If they reacted to punches only, and didnt actually comment much I'd enjoy the fight more. I just want these people to be quiet and let me watch a fight mostly.

                I agree.
But I don't mind a good blow by blow guy that calls it like he see's it.

Seems most commentators are company men towing the company line.

Blocking punches with your face doesnt warrant anybody victories. Vivas is tough but he has the worst style ever. He threw alot but majority of them didnt land and Gonzalez made him pay with hard accurate punches.
                  Clear victory for Gonzalez..
