Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce: I Hope Fury-Usyk Can Still Happen, Fury is The Fight I Want

Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce is still hoping that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could find a way to finalize their undisputed showdown. On Wednesday, both camps admitted that a deal was dead in the water after disagreements over the monetary split involved in a contracted rematch.

I wouldn't mind seeing Joyce vs Wilder or Joshua. There would be some action there, especially against Wilder.

Usyk v Dubois /Hrgovic, i think Dubois should pass.
        Fury vs Joyce,
Winners undespute with no rematch clauses.

The likes of Wilder & Aj had they're shot & blew it. Get in line.

USyk wants 70-30 in rematch if Usyk wins first fight, so compromise and give fury something in return, like choice of judges or ring size or whatsoever? THe fight needs to be made, the alternative to not compromising is no fight and we dont want that.. Compromising is the only way forward.

If Fury wants no part of Usyk, he sure does not want any thing to do with Joyce.

There should be no need to compromise after agreeing to the 70-30 demand. That was already giving a mile.

He did not agree to the demand. The demand wasn't 70/30 first fight and 70/30 2nd fight for winner. The demand was 70/30 and either no rematch clause or 50/50 in rematch neither of which Usyks team wanted. They want 70/30 in the rematch

"From where I’m standing, Usyk, you and your team are worth 30%. You either take it or you leave it."
"Hey, greedy, belly, I accept your offer."

Yeah, it was really clear for the world to see how Fury's demand clearly communicated there was no rematch clause or, no, wait, a 50/50 split in a rematch. In no way was this a later addition thrown up as a blocker.
