  • David Diaz Edges Jesus Chavez For Decision Win

At the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, David Diaz (35-2-1, 17KOs) pulled out a majority decision over Jesus Chavez (44-6, 30KOs) in a battle of former lightweight champions. The scores were 97-93, 96-94 for Diaz and 95-95 for the draw. Diaz made his return for the first time since being stopped by Manny Pacquiao last June. Chavez appeared like he was going to retire after the April TKO loss to Michael Katsidis. He returned against Diaz, made a decent showing and will likely continue. [details]

Good to hear. After the Pacquiao fight i became a supporter of Diaz. A real likeable down to earth and honest fighter. (Y)

dd can still mix it up with the LW's.
kats, jdiaz and jmm are good fyts for him to chase....
his flat-footedness is a real liability though.
