Comments Thread For: Hearn on Conor Benn's Next Fight: 'Testing Process Going To Be More Rigorous Than Any Fight That Has Existed'

Promoter Eddie Hearn insists there will be stringent drug testing--apparently, the most stringent in boxing history--for Conor Benn's next fight. As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Benn, the embattled British welterweight who failed two separate tests for the same banned performance-enhancing substance last year, is expected to return to the ring for the first time in more than a year on June 3 in Abu Dhabi.

The way it should be, across the board.
But fight fans will never be convinced.
The guys they hate will always and forever be dirty.

Had to stop reading halfway through
So , Slow Eddie now insists that he’s putting washed up fighters against his fighter ( Benn )
Sorry Hearnamaniacs but it’s all right there for all to read , indulge you dumb fughs
Explains much to do with offering the Canelo’s etc etc with crappy fights instead of testing his fighters and respecting the fans
Recall reading on 24/7 how pissed he was with fans and how respectable Chris Van Heerden was as an opponent for Benn
But now ? What did he say ?
All this just to say that Slow Eddie is full of chit just like his rigorous testing for his fighter
        Way to expose yourself Edouardo
        Michael Collins 24/7 02/11/2022
This is the guy that promised us fans great boxing fights , no ppv and the new age of boxing
        Lmfao
Maybe Slow Eddie should stick to darts or maybe tag team boxing

I cannot believe the relentlessness of some people, with agendas, but I’ve never seen so many people so passionate about the subject. All of a sudden.
Why does there have to be more rigorous testing, right? They got him last time lol, I mean is this guy serious?

Agendas? He put all kinds of stipulations to fight Eubank to shrink him and keep him shrunk. Not a big enough advantage, went and got caught cheating so he could hold all the cards. Boxing fans ain't going for this bullshit.

Amazing how it all works. Get caught doping, dragged through the streets, get a mega-payday fight in the wings. What a world we live in!

            I smell Bullshido!
It doesn't get more rigorous than vada, that's the gold standard.

Why get tested if your just going to ignore the results & cry them away & get a belt to blame egg's?
Benn should be denied a licence globally until he cooperates with ukad & clears himself or doesn't & takes his ban.

More vigorous testing? What’s the point? Your man got caught cheating twice and then the WBC made an excuse up for him!
                Benn never cleared his name.

Boxing is corrupt to the core.
I’ve lost interest in Eddie and all his fighters. In fact, this whole debacle has further tarnished my interest in boxing.

The BBBoC needs to hand down a ruling on Benn along with a ban.

And boxing commissions everywhere need to respect that ban.

Otherwise this is going to set a horrible precedent where a boxer can test dirty in one country and then just go fight in a different country as if nothing happened.

Eddie himself needs to be banned for keep trying to make fights after his fighters tested positive twice
