Comments Thread For: Dan Azeez Batters Thomas Faure, Earns EBU Title Following 12th Round Stoppage

Dan Azeez delivered a one-sided performance in his most significant title fight to date. The unbeaten Brit collected the European (EBU) light heavyweight title following a twelfth-round stoppage of France's Thomas Faure. No knockdowns were scored in the contest, but Faure was battered throughout and was deemed unfit to continue at 0:50 of round twelve in their ESPN+/Canal+/Sky Sports televised co-feature Saturday evening at Zenith de Paris-La Villette in Paris, France.

It seems Buatsi turned down Bivol fight offer. Maybe Azeez gets a shot now.

Azeez could fight Buatsi next. That’s a fight Sky want to make and both fighters have been talking up.

Ok, but if Bivol needs a stay busy fight before Canelo rematch, Azeez would be a very good choice.

Azeez is slow. Hits hard. Decent skills. Good enough defense. He looked like a guy who's gonna be a European champ. But thats as far as he goes. No way in hell he can compete with Bivol .
