"Although Davis is in possession of the WBA’s secondary crown, his version of a world title won’t be on the line as the two have agreed to meet at a contracted catchweight of 136 pounds. Beating Davis, as a result, won’t allow Garcia to quench his championship thirst. Be that as it may, for the 24-year-old flamboyant star, a victory over his longtime rival will mean just as much, if not more, than draping his shoulders with gold."

“For me, this is a legacy fight,” said Garcia to BoxingScene.com. “Titles are titles but this is really a world title fight for me.” - Ryan Garcia

Maybe it's just me, but that statement is just kind of sad, especially when he swerved the opportunity for the WBC title fight with Haney!

I know ''fight'' fans lol at this but.....

          ''He young, doe''

          And it's true

24 and it's not unexpected for a youngster to make ''poor'' choices.

Let's see where the winner goes from here.

Gervonta is more dangerous than Haney AND brings more money to the table than Haney.

This is a much better fight to take. All the way around.

Come on, this is a stay busy, gimme fight.

Stank vs Taylor, Regis, Teo, Loma, Shakur & Haney is legacy.

It would've been much better if Ryan had the green belt! Why you think Spence hasn't vacated them belts yet? Yeah, the fight would be good at 154, but not as good as it would be @ 147! You might think Haney wasn't as dangerous, but Ryan knows better, which is why he swerved him, and Tank hasn't been in no rush to fight him either! If Tank told the WBA he wanted to fight the WBA "Super" Champion, that fight would be happening instead of Haney vs. Loma! Tank has not shown any interest in fighting either one, but he's all in for Ryan, who is the weakest link!
