What exactly did Oscar do that was such amazing representation for a catchweight bout with no title on the line between two guys who have avoided top competition for their whole careers? Because it looks a whole lot like he just rolled over and gave in to every demand made by Haymon, and he was instructed to do that by Garcia anyways. If Crawford wants to be bent over the barrel by PBC, he can do that on his own without the dubious help of a guy who's coked out of his mind in at least half of his interviews. -
Spence was looking the other way and took a sneak shot, why is this even mentioned, shows the agenda is BS.Lmao and what exactly have Spence and Crawford done in their illustrious careers little man? Please shut the **** up and sit down their careers combined couldn't even match Oscars bunch of divas Oscar fought everyone these guys won't even fight each other.
Crawford got dropped by Egis and Spence got held up by the ropes (a legal knockdown) against Ugas. Funniest **** is you considering Spence and Crawford huge punchers, they are good technicians that can knock people out with their skills but they aren't knockout artists. Neither one of those guys punches harder than Shane Mosley or Ricardo Mayorga end of story.Leave a comment:

Please. Oscar got dropped & hurt by much lesser punchers, imagine what Spence or Bud would've done with him. I don't think Crawford is the same fighter he was back in 2018/2019, looks slowed down. But prime vs prime, Oscar wouldn't beat Bud. Might catch him, might stun him but that's it. I think Spence would stop Oscar with a body-shot.
Oscar didn't look good against a past prime Pernell Whittaker in a fight most thought he lost. Didn't look good against Ike Quartey either in a fight that could've gone either way..got knocked down and hurt in that fight too. Quartey fight was one he called the toughest fight he had been in at the time, after the fight. Oscar was getting gifts against Felix Sturm & getting stopped by 40 year old B-Hop when he was 31-32 years of age, around Spence's age.
Great fight & a HOF but not an ATG in the slightest. Great career early on, no denying. But from aged 27+ till he retired he lost almost every big fight he was in.

They rolled over and I won't be surprised if they were told what shoes and gloves he has to wear as well. Maybe you are drooling for this fight but it's no mega fight. I wouldn't have lost sleep over it not happening. Oscar didn't negotiate at all for his fighter he simply gave into a list of demands for a pretty penny. It's pathetic, just pointing out the facts isn't crying clown.Last edited by jonnyc420; 03-09-2023, 05:44 PM.Leave a comment:

I was wondering how come the Youtube fights are taking over. You have to believe, part of that reason is because of this. Casual are impatient and tired of waiting for big names in boxing to face each other. They want action and they want it quick. They're turning over to these "celebrities" that they're familiar with and are willing to face each other. Meanwhile the actual boxers are taking a step back in viewership because casuals are sick of waiting and lose interest.
Yeah I agree with you mostly. I certainly don't think that a lot of these fighters are scared of one another, and most 'ducking', er I mean 'strategic matchmaking has more to do with their management and the state of the sport in this capitalist system. But, because of that us fans suffer. Or, I guess more specifically, us 'hardcore' fans suffer. Casual fans clearly don't care about the 'product', as evident by how popular YouTube fighters are, as well as having NON-PPV worthy fights on PPV. And when it comes to Spence and Crawford specifically, they seem greedy. Obviously it's easy for me to say, since I am not the one who is risking life and limb, nor is it my money to conveniently brush off, I still feel like they can both get paid handsomely AND fight sometime in this millennium. So, very long story short, I agree with the sentiment of 'not hating the player, and hating the game', I still feel that if they really want the fight for their legacies, they could renegotiate and come to some sort of compromise, but maybe they don't care about their legacies as much as I wish they would.
Boxing has nobody, but itself to blame at the end of the day. The greed that exists around the non-fighters plays a huge part into it. Of course they're in the ears of the actual fighters and would rather they continue milking something that keeps their own pockets fat than lose a mega star due to him losing to another star.
Once again, I'll always say that AJ mostly avoided Wilder because Eddie knew AJ was keeping the lights on at Matchroom. He was their bread and butter and couldn't afford to lose those insane paychecks if AJ had lost to Wilder.Leave a comment:

Are you whining because they did what they had to do to make the fight happen? There's just no pleasing some fans. Sounds like you are the crybaby.Leave a comment:

Meanwhile he's been instrumental in making what will probably be the biggest fight of the year. No idea what you're talking about here. How can you not be relevant when one of your fighters is in the most lucrative matchup of 2023? Oscar now has an example to use in trying to lure Crawford to Golden Boy. He helped make Tank/Garcia happen. That should be an incentive for Bud to join ranks.Leave a comment:
