Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Believe There's A Good Chance We Can Get Taylor-Cameron Over The Line

There remains hope for Katie Taylor to proceed with a long overdue homecoming. Ireland's Taylor and England's Chantelle Cameron--the reigning undisputed lightweight and junior welterweight champions, respectively--have been vocal in their desire for a head-on collision. The terms would have to be reached quickly to preserve the targeted date of May 20 at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Both are promoted by Matchroom Boxing, who is working feverishly to close the deal.

You'd hope there's more than a good chance of them getting the deal done, since both fighters genuinely want the fight and they're both signed with Matchroom.

There is no money in women's boxing and the names are far few and in between. But I rather it be this way that they are forced to face each other if they want to earn a living.

I am monitoring things very closely for news on this incredible fight being confirmed. If so, full credit to Katie Taylor, as IMO and most likely many other's too, Chantelle Cameron presents the toughest challenge around her weight class. Not only is Chantelle so tough, skilled and quite superb, but she is physically bigger, stronger and longer.
