Harold Calderon would be a real good fight for him, after he defeat's Cruz, then another fight or two, before facing off against Trout.
Trout is still a grizzled veteran who's won his last five fight's, so another 2-3 then he'll be more than ready for a challenge like Trout.
That doesn't mean that Zayas couldn't beat Trout after his fight with Cruz, it just mean's that he'd be able to defeat him with greater ease.
Trout has given the best in the division a run for their money, in winning or losing those fight's, so a few more fight's, and Zayas will put the kebosh on him.

That's about right brother, another three fight's, then it's on to challenging the top ten at 154, and then he should be challenging for the title in late 2024, or early 2025.
If my analysis is correct he'll be a full fledged middleweight by late 2024, or early 2025, this kid is still growing, and will end up a super middleweight, or a light heavyweight, by the end of his career.
If he, and his team goes about his progression correctly, he should be successful throughout his career's trajectory, as he continues to grow into those other weight division's.
Xander Zayas has the talent, to be one of superstar's of boxing, he just has to remain dedicated, focused, and disciplined, and then watch out because he's moving forward with a powerful purpose.
