    Mario Barrios finally got back on the winning track in his hometown Saturday night. Barrios beat up Jovanie Santiago for much of their one-sided welterweight fight, which was wisely stopped by Santiago's handlers during the eighth round at Alamodome in San Antonio. Puerto Rico's Santiago showed a lot of heart, but the taller, stronger Barrios battered him with right hands and left hooks during a co-feature Showtime televised.

    This fight was a farce … plaseee all this praise for barrios , and yet he fights santiago who btw hasn’t fought in 2 years … what an acomplishment . grfoh

        Good to see the young Texan back in the win column and also I appreciated the fight crowd in San Antonio, was good to see the actual fighter from Texas appreciated by the crowd

          Dude, he lost two straight fights in a young career. At least allow him this get-back fight to rebuild his confidence. Of course he will def have to step up the opponent talent on the next fight.
