It won`t happen with WBC belt on the line since Bivol is Russian citizen.

He has Canadian citizenship. That's not the issue anymore. The issue is the WBC enforcing a Callum Smith mandatory over the unification fight

Then again, Bivol may decide he wants that Canelo payday afterall and go down to 168lbs in which case the fight is delayed again.

The earliest we see Bivol Beterbiev is December 2023

You're confused... It's Beterbiev who has Canadian citizenship, not Bivol.

Yes it is! The master boxer (Bivol), versus the master Puncher (Beterbiev).

At this point in their impressive career's, who care's about the WBC belt being on the line?
Whoever wins a fight between them will be recognized by the whole boxing public as the unified champion.

There is currently no fight in boxing I want to see more. Not Spence vs Crawford, not Fury vs Usyk, not Tank / Shakur / Haney / Loma, not Inoue vs Fulton, fantastic fights though they all are.
