Comments Thread For: Jaron Ennis Believes He's A Better All Around Fighter Than Terence Crawford

The schedule of Terence Crawford may have slowed considerably in recent memory, but the 35-year-old WBO 147-pound champion is of the belief that his pugilistic standing shouldn't be questioned.

Lets see the excuses why these matchups against the young guns can't happen.

I like what he's saying g weather it's right or wrong as it just might tempt Crawford or even Spence or even those two to fight each other , I want to see more of this talent this year.

“I’m more smoother and slicker,” said Ennis to a group of reporters. “My shots are a little tighter than his but he’s a great fighter. I just feel like I’m better all around.”
Or, you're just younger than the dude.

I actually think Crawford is a better fighter, just not a better athlete.

Ennis is coming into his prime and may not even hit his prime until he’s pushing 30. Crawford and Spence are excellent fighters but they’re getting older. They need to fight each other now or at least give these young guns a chance. The more they wait the better Ennis and company will get better.

If Crawford ever wants the fight, he better get him now, because Ennis is going to get better and more confident as he gets more big fight experience.

We can argue who'd win, but the only way we'd know is if they fought each other. Boots said he wants it, does Bud want it?

I think Ennis is too high risk for Crawford and Spence. If be shocked if either one fought him.

But nobody's scared, I don't think, they're high level. It's now about making most money and then get out of boxing.

That will be determined by what you can take or avoid taken in the future, but you just need to stay ready and in the gym. We still have questions that have yet to be answered because you have yet to face a champion or great talent. I’m hoping you have the goods

I like Boots. His time is coming. And you gotta be confident - believe in yourself to the max - to be a fighter that succeeds. But, whatever attributes Ennis might have over Bud (possibly speed, reflexes, etc), Crawford has all the mental tools, timing, experience, etc. to overcome them. I hope we get to see it play out. My feeling is that if Bud can't get Spence next he'll take on his mandatory - probably Ortiz (or Stanionis if he can pull off the upset) - or even Ennis to prove a point to Spence and everybody else: Terence Bud Crawford is the #1 welterweight in the world.

Who is the favorite if Ennis fights Crawford in the next year? 50/50?
