The way I'm reading it is Shakur is giving Loma zero chance to beat Haney and on top of that already has it in his mind him and Loma will fight for a vacant title. If Loma loses to Haney why should he get an immediate title shot again if that's the case and I personally think Loma stands a reasonable chance to beat Haney.

He should not be given that opportunity! I hope PBC and GBP have something big for Cruz and Zepeda! It's crazy that they both turned down an opportunity to fight Shakur! It would be even worse if they did it for a lesser opponent! Salute to Martin and Rivera! At least they fought each other!

Devin Haney Lists 3 Possible Locations For Lomachenko Fight In May

“I’m willing to fight whenever, wherever. I said this numerous times. I should have the say and the power to determine when and where I fight, and me being a champion and already taking the short end of the stick, going across the pond or down under.

Not once but twice for his terms. I really didn’t have to, but this is the sort of boxing. These promoters and these networks, they have the say for real. As much as the fighters wish we did have a say, what can we do? I love to fight.

“No matter when it is, I’m going to be victorious; whether it’s March, May, whenever, and wherever, I’m going to be ready. I would love to do it before `Ramadan so that I could do Ramadan and stay on my game.

“Do whatever it takes to prove to my God that I’m dedicated. What can we do? If it’s his plan for me to fight in May, then I’ll fight in May.

Devin Haney says his promoters at Top Rank have three locations they're looking at for him to defend his undisputed lightweight championship against Vasyl

Why is Haney being treated like a red-headed step child at Top Rank?

Bob doing this because this is Haney's last fight on the deal. Bob needs Loma to win and keep the titles in house. That's the top rank way.

Now if Haney re signed with top rank today. Bob would be more willing to compromise for him.

I would think Bob would do whatever to entice Haney to re-sign? There's plenty of good fights, Shakur, Lopez, Ramirez, and Josh Taylor!

If he beats loma I bet bob will. If he loses, his value is very diminished. A non fan friendly fighter coming off a loss with his style is not someone anyone is going to go out of their way to fight. It’s not like there is big money in Haney, especially if he doesn’t have a belt.

I agree. Plenty of good fights. But Bob could care less. Bob still hasn't seen Haney in america yet. He doesnt know if Haney can draw a crowd or not.

We both know Bob don't care if Haney stays or goes if Haney can't draw. Haney will just beat all his fighters and Bob won't profit from that.

They have now had him turn down both Ryan and Shakur.PBC will keep him in light until the time comes for when they need that Tank rematch. Basically being used as a pawn like Ortiz was for Wilder.

Hate how all these American fighters come out of the woodwork to challenge semi-washed guys when they’re viewed to be easy-pickings
