Comments Thread For: Arum on Haney: His Next Fight Will Be With Lomachenko; We Are Working Out the Date

Promoter Bob Arum has no doubt that boxing fans will be treated to a significant lightweight title fight early next year. Undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney is headed toward a second defense of his belts against three-division Ukrainian titlist Vasiliy Lomachenko. The fight was in the works ever since Haney signed with Arum's Top Rank earlier this

Is Haney turning into a company biatch?
Should serve Loma and Bob their own dish back, just a little colder this time.

Loma is going to get pretty bust up here , Haney is young fresh and massive at the weight , where Loma is small at the weight and seemly on the slide. I respect Loma foe taking this fight but I only see one winner....Hope I'm wrong!

Haney signed a three-fight deal with Top Rank and Loma is fight #3.

And he said he would prefer to fight in March so we just have to sit back and see what happens

I won't be surprised to see haney resign with top rank. They have a lot to offer him. More than anyone else.

It'll be a good fight. It's what fighters do, but in this current era they don't. It's actually low reward for Loma. They'll downplay the victory if he wins and he won't move much up in the P4P rankings.

Gotta try to make the tank fight on showtime right after Lomachenko. Then go back to top rank after the tank fight

If Bob can't satisfy his request for March, he should go to 140! He's done everything they asked for, fighting in Australia twice! He tried to fight Loma before, and they chose the "Franchise" belt, and Teofimo Lopez instead! Time for Top Rank to show him some respect!

They certainly do! They have Stevenson @ 135, and many options @ 140! If they can't give him Loma in March, that would be disrespectful! Making him fight in Australia twice was disrespectful too!
