Comments Thread For: Usyk Promoter on Fury Fight: We Are In Negotiations with 3 Countries in Middle East

If Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk expect to maximize the earnings from their undisputed heavyweight rematch, they will likely have to fight somewhere in the sandy climes of the Oil Kingdom.

It was always going to be in the Middle East where all the money is and an atmosphere of the moon BUT at least it seems Usyk is finally over his injuries and hopefully ready to finally commit.

I'm hoping it doesn't fall through but if Fury really hurt his hand and has elbow injuries I dont see it happening in March

Seems the U.K. will not see the biggest matches between its fighters at home anymore, for the foreseeable future all the big fights will be in Saudi, Qatar, or the Emirates

To be honest, if this big fight is in the Middle East, it won't have the great vibe and atmosphere befitting an undisputed heavyweight title fight.

In the UK it would be electric, even though it's perhaps an unfair home crowd advantage to Fury, in a way.

Wow, so Fury might actually have to fight a real champion for a change?? Or is it time for another bout of "mental illness" (aka a voluntary 2 year drink and drug binge to distract from his failed PED tests). Personally, I was hoping for a trilogy with Seferi or Schwarz or a quadruple with #bumsquad

Wasn't Wilder a champion when Fury fought him? Did he not try to fight AJ and even had a deal in place until Wilder took him to court for the trilogy?
So, if Wilder and Fury were the belt holders who else was Fury supposed to fight?

He’s now going after Usyk so which “real” champions did Fury duck?

(Hopefully a respectful response will come back. This platform is full of casuals)

This guy's talking too much, stay quiet until the contracts are signed. I don't care where it happens, as long as it happens.

Fury has already defeated two long-reigning real champions, which is two more than AJ who apparently has the best resume in the division.

Flights everywhere are an outrageous cost now. Putting western events in remote places is an F U to fans. But promoters never did care much about fans. Now there isn’t even the gesture
