First things first, however, before Davis officially rides off into the sunset, he has quite a few goals to check off his to-do list. On January 7th, at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C., Davis will square off against Hector Luis Garcia. If everything goes according to plan, the 28-year-old will then move into a showdown against Ryan Garcia.

Clever man actually. Do your thing in the sport, make enough money, and retire with health intact.

But also, do fight the biggest fights possible that can be made. In that way the legacy aspect and financial part is taken care of.

As a free agent Tank is about to make a cruise ship load of money. The retirement list is Cryan Garcia, D. Haney, S. Stevenson, G.A Russell, T. Lopez, K. Davis and most likely Frank Martin and M. Rivera

It's good to hear he wants to help the next generation. Hopefully he keeps that in mind and tries to set a good example for them.

If he beats the two Garcias and fights Haney that's a great year.

It will be Frank Martin or M. Rivera, but not both! We'll see what happens tomorrow night!

It’s a good thing CTE is real but even if that’s not your reason the brain isn’t designed to continually be hit or for that matter at all. The one thing the fans don’t understand is the effects after it’s all over and you home alone with whatever income, it doesn’t matter at this point! As a former fighter myself I personally know of many that have been affected by trauma from boxing in fact to many to name but that goes without saying. Rid**** Bowe, Tommy Hearns, Iran Barkley etc., all show signs of CTE. I would say get out while you can, before damage or more damage, most will have some form of damage without knowing.

So why fight Cryan? Petition WBA for a regular- super unification with Haney and get done real titles!
