Comments Thread For: Naoya Inoue Completes the Set: Weekend Afterthoughts

Jr. featherweight, here he comes. That's the assumption as the live and televised boxing weekend in the States finished its extra innings in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. The now undisputed bantamweight champion, Naoya Inoue, strongly hinted before his latest knockout win that he was not long for 118 lbs.

I like Inoue, but if he fights Cool Boy Steph next, that's going to be Naoya's first loss. Fulton is the most skilled fighter in that division and he's the naturally bigger man, sorry but Inoue hasn't seen anyone like him before.

About time the boxing media started calling Warrington out for the dirty fighter he is too!

I must say, credit to Butler for lasting eleven rounds taking those punches.

Inoue is a relentless machine. True about Lopez has natural power and good skill, but really looks bad with his form lately. Probably something psychological that he has to get right.

The Brit announcers on DAZN were calling out Lopez instead, for complaining about the fouls.

          It was disgusting.

Inoue needs to fight John Riel Casimero to be truly undisputed champion in my book though. Beating up an 11th ranked fighter then declaring yourself undisputed is emabarrassing. I think Inoue knows it too. Not sure of the Japanese fans or casuals, but to me John riel Casimero is the one that Inoue needs to fight. Inoue could simply choose not to fight Casimero because "High risk, Low reward". But if I think deep down inside Inoue knows that Casimero is the true champ of that WBO belt. **** Inoue if chooses not to fight Casimero though.

WBO practically guarantees him a shot against Fulton, I doubt he does that route, probably going to wait for Fulton to go to featherweight

Yes, I heard them. Completely biased commentary to go with the consistently biased scoring in UK.

casimero moved up and had a no contest with ryo akaho (2nd round foul, rabbit punch). naoya can't fight him at bantamweight if casimero is not there anymore.
