Comments Thread For: Liam Smith: Eubank Trying to Box the Way Roy's Got Him Boxing, I Can Capitalize On That

Liam Smith is licking his chops at the way Chris Eubank Jr. has been performing inside the ring lately. The longtime 154-pound contender will take on Eubank Jr. in a middleweight bout Jan. 21 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. The announcement comes more than a month after Eubank's scheduled 157-pound catchweight fight with Conor Benn was cancelled upon the revelation that Benn had tested positive for a banned substance. Benn is currently being investigated by the British Boxing Board of Control and UK-Anti Doping.

It will be an interesting fight early, but Eubank should get him out of there in the late rounds. Afterwards, I would like to see Eubank fight either Mungia or Adames.

Noticed this myself... Chris trying to be Roy instead of Chris Eubank Jr incorporating some RJJ. Don't think it's going to end well. Not 100% sure Beefy is the guy to expose it but I wouldn't be that surprised either.

Smith is very overrated. Look closely at his record and you'll see that he has never beaten a legitimate top 10 opponent. Eubank will take him apart. Eubank may not have beaten any King Kongs either, but he is the naturally bigger man and more skilled as well.

I think Smith is a decent European , fringe world level fighter at super welterweight . He has NEVER fought at Middleweight where Jr. has decided to operate since his unsuccessful campaign at super middle. I think Smiths all around boxing skills are better than Jr.s but his size will let him down here .....completely don't get why this fight is PPV ???
Eubank Sr. was a brave throwback fighter as tough as nails and willing to move up in weight his kid is a fraud who only likes little un's . and is only around because of his dad's name.

Eubank is naturally two divisions bigger than Smith. If he can't KO Smith, he gotta retire asap.

He called it, he was right. Eubank was in there trying to look like Roy Jones Jr and got knocked out.

Just the start of your incorrect predictions homeboy. Get used to it as Tank and Stanionis are getting beatdown soon enough as well!

I had no investment in Eubank, he's not a fighter that I particularly care for. I just thought that he would end the fight because of his weight and trainer advantages. Stanionis wins, and 'm sticking with that. If I am wrong, I will take the L with a side of crow.
