Absophuckinglutely not a stretch. 80 career fights and fighting 20lbs above his best weight. Duran was so good that he could be competitive even past his prime.

So no matter what Canelo does, Bivol will nullify it with his IQ.

This summary nails it. And by the middle rounds when Canelo knew he wasn't going to dominiate Bivol like he did with other opponents, the Mexican didn't have the IQ to adjust. With Bivol's discipline, Canelo could only watch himself lose round after round.

Similarly, Duran quit when he had no answer to Leonard's supreme boxing skills in the 2nd fight. I say this as a HUGE Duran fan.

So, Canelo losses, decisively, barely gets past GG, is more interested in golf, will be out of the ring for a year before he fights Bivol again, and this is still a lucrative fight?

Duran didn't mention money in this article. He mentioned rematching immediately, something he didn't do with Hearns. That's all I'm saying.

What mistake is Duran referring too, all the Bivol fans say Canelo didn't have any mistakes he just wasn't good enough, maybe Duran saw some things that can be improved lol.
