What's up with theses fights being held in the Middle East these days? Do they even like boxing over there, or is it just a money thing?

Money and politics... the Gulf OIl States want to build themselves as tourist destinations and some of em got a slightly unwholesome image to shake. Holding major sporting events normalises them as being a regular part of the international community, and helps put em on the map as major tourist destinations. They got a lot of money to throw at it but they also know those petro-dollars ain't gonna last for ever so are looking to diversify.

This is why Hean wants to stop IBF from giving them time to negotiate because, after December 3, Fury and Usyk can claim to be negotiating for the undisputed, in which case the IBF will allow them to do it. Hearn wants IBF to not give them any time to negotiate and go straight to a purse bid because then team Usyk would be forbidden (per IBF rules) to enter into negotiations with Fury after the purse bid has been called.
